PLANS are under way for a party to celebrate a three-year-old girl's winning battle with cancer.

Madison Parton, of Sandford Hill, Longton, can now look forward to 'normal' childhood activities with her family after being declared cancer-free.

She has spent the past 15 months undergoing intensive chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment to combat an aggressive tumour in her left pelvis, after being diagnosed with the aggressive and rare child cancer, rhabdomyosarcoma.

But her mum Annette, aged 33, vowed to stay positive for her youngest child and is now planning a party to celebrate their latest news.

She said: "We're just waiting for Madison's health to improve a little as she has only just stopped the chemotherapy treatment.

"But we will be having a big party to celebrate as soon as she is well enough – and everyone will be welcome."
