ADMINISTRATORS have been called in to a motor accessory and parts firm.

David Bennett and Paul Addison, of Grant Thornton, have been appointed at Richard C Hartley Limited, which trades as Motormania and Midland Car Parts.

Motormania has 17 branches across the Midlands and the north, including one at London Road in Trent Vale.

They are supported by the Midland Car Parts factory and distribution hub in Derby.

A total of 92 people are employed across the business, although it's not known how many of those are based at Trent Vale.

Motormania was set up 25 years ago and administrators said they will continue to trade it as a going concern while they look for a buyer.

David Bennett said: "Motormania and Midland Car Parts are long-established businesses with a strong reputation in the market place. We are continuing to trade the businesses with a view to selling them as going concerns and are currently in discussions with a number of interested parties."
