Parking boost for town centre

MORE parking spaces are set to be created in a struggling town centre.

The short-term parking bays are planned for Biddulph's High Street near to the Top To Toe store.

It comes as businesses have complained about a lack of trade and the loss of parking spaces caused by the building of the town's new health centre off Wharf Road.

Now Staffordshire County Council has agreed to install the new parking bays.

This Sunday between 11am & 4pm with FREE admission at the Moat House Hotel Festival Park we will be exhibiting with some special show offers, the weather forecast isn't good but our deals are

Council officer Angela Nutter said: "The short-term parking bays will help local businesses.

"They will be there for visitors to the town and also to encourage residents to use their local shops."

Members of Staffordshire Moorlands District Council are discussing the new bays at a meeting today.
