PUPILS are helping to tackle parking chaos outside their school.

They are educating their parents about the importance of parking safely outside St Peter's CE Primary School, in Caverswall, following a number of complaints.

Year Six pupils are taking part in the police-run Ziggy Zaggy safety campaign targeting School Lane.

A police spokesman said: "Drivers have been parking on double yellow lines, across drives and blocking pavements.

"Officers are continuing to advise these motorists and asking them to move their vehicles.

"The Year Six pupils have been educating their parents about the hazards they cause when parking inconsiderately."

Villagers can be updated on the parking problems at a police surgery at Blythe Bridge Library, in Uttoxeter Road, Blythe Bridge, at 10am on Saturday.
