TONY Pulis hasn't given up hope of adding a free agent to his squad between now and the end of the season.

Pulis has left a place open in his designated 25-man Premier League squad in case he fancies a free signing.

Former Manchester United and Everton striker Louis Saha has already signed for Lazio since the January transfer window closed after earlier being released by Sunderland.

"If there's somebody out there, we will look at it," said Pulis today, "and if we can do it, we certainly will."

He revealed that young midfielder Matthew Lund will leave the club at the end of the season when he is out of contract and that is why he has been omitted from the 25-man squad.

"We didn't want to get Matty in there because we want to get him a club," Pulis explained.

"We want him to play some league football before he's out of contract because we are not offering him one next year.

"We try to treat them like human beings, not pieces of meat."

Pulis also disclosed that new signing Brek Shea was technically available to play against Reading on Saturday after securing his Visa back home in America.

But the 22 year-old faces a wait before being considered because of his fitness levels after a long period out with a foot injury.

“Discerning ? Intelligent ? As long as I'm nowhere near jswords and myvince the Statler and Waldorf of the Britannia two vale fans who through gritted dentures have to go to the Brit so they can see all the premiership superstars. What great fun, I can imagine the pair of you grumbling and moaning as you get on the bus in Waterloo road. Complaining that you can't take your whippets into the ground.
Thinking what might have been if you hadn't have launched that campaign to get Johnny Rudge out because the vale needed a manager of real talent to take them to the next level. Titter.
Imagine that Billy Bell was the best chairman you ever had John Rudge your best manager both hounded out by discerning intelligent fans. What a hoot, I can barely get through my Saturday morning oatcake.
Keep them coming jswords I was wondering why I can't resist coming on here”

“Hopefully Stripes is seated in the same row as Johnson/Boothenender
somewhere in the Boothen stand, where at least they
can be sectioned off from the majority of discerning, intelligent viewers
    of the game.
Sectioned, being the most appropriate word for them.”

“"I don't see any point in arguing with jswords, he is clearly
to full of himself to ever concede he may be wrong about anything."

This from the megalomaniac multi ID nonentity Boothernender/Johnson,
who is so full of himself he is bursting at the seams with mindless rubbish.
The biggest joke ever to disgrace this forum.

As for your hero Pulis, he gained promotion only thanks to
Coates millions - John Rudge could have achieved that.
Failed in Europe (having got there by default)
His performance in the Premiership in 5 Seasons has been pathetic
    and still it goes on.
It's well known by most observers that he is out of his depth in the Premier,
and his record prior to Stoke was nondescript, a bit like your life Boothernender.
When Pulis eventually goes, let's see how many offers come in for his services.”

“I don't see any point in arguing with jswords, he is clearly to full of himself to ever concede he may be wrong about anything. Fact is that comparing Port Vale and Stoke in any way shape or form is a joke. I have a lot of time for the genuine Vale fan who has stuck with their team while it has been run into the ground by a bunch of idiots. However they are a small club in the bottom tier and they are doing OK and that's as far as it goes. Their manager has achieved nothing so far and failed when he stepped up a level at Sheffield, to compare him with a manager who has taken a club to the Prem, the FA Cup final and Europe is another joke. jswords is a joke.”

“I remember going to watch stoke in the third division. The football was horrible, we used to joke that "we'd better not turn up to early or else we'd get a game" or why don't we save money and go up Hanley park so we can watch a team complete two passes.
I am thrilled that jswords and his kind will not be renewing their season tickets theirs nowt worse than sitting next to a whining whinging windbag when trying to give full support to the best team in the potteries for over thirty years”

    “Porksword.

    1. I am 6 foot 3. so not little
    2. I am 34 so not old.
    3. I dont know when vale play as I have no interest in them whatsoever
    4. Me and my mates play 5 a side twice a week. the score after an hour is usually in the 20s for each team. If scoring goals was the only barometer of the quality of football then we should have about 100,000 attendance at each of our games. but it isnt. So have your 64 goals at the lower level. Enjoy them. Not many others are bothered. People don't grow up dreaming to play for Port Vale in the bottom league. Young Stoke lads dream of playing for Stoke in the Premiership. Your club is on borrowed time.”

“Stripes you are another sad case. I have supported Stoke since when
they were in the old First Division and thereafter. Much of their football
has been better to watch before they managed to get into the
    Premier (thanks to Peter Coates)
It's difficult to declare a Season ticket at Stoke as being a bargain,
when they only manage 1 good game in a Season. As many Stoke
Posters on here in the past weeks have decided not to renew their tickets.
Maybe you should pay a visit to the Vale when Stoke are away -
you might appreciate watching some good attacking play and plenty
of goals - 64 so far this Season.”

“I told you Defjam had limited intelligence.
He cannot even work out that Stoke and Vale
don't play at home at the same time.

What a sad little old man”

“Jswords has not been supporting stoke, he may go to the Brit but that would be because we play premiership football and the big names that now visit the potteries (thank you mr Pulis) and the bargain prices for a season ticket. Make the trip a very tempting offer for vale fans starved of high quality football.
Then they have the gall to come on here and moan their bags off, because we play defensively to maintain our lofty position.
Add to that the hypocrite evapottysummerfoot calling the kettle black. Marvellous I couldn't make it up”
