Open and Shutt case for Lexus
A LEXUS dealer has proved to be among the very best in the country after winning awards for its sales, customer satisfaction and marketing.
Lexus Stoke was picked out as being among the top performers in the 48-strong UK dealer network, winning a couple of categories and being beaten by less than one per cent in another at the annual Lexus national conference.
Barry Shutt, centre principal at the Trentham Lakes dealership, praised the efforts of the staff and says that the awards are a great springboard to more success this year as vital new models arrive.
Lexus Stoke won the award for the Best Business Centre performance against target after doing 138 per cent of target and took the Marketing Award for its innovative use of video, social media and being active among the local business community with ride-and drive days.

It was just pipped to first place for the Customer Experience Award which measures customer satisfaction, a key indicator for any business, and also took second for the Sales Award.

Later this summer Lexus will introduce its new IS model and Barry says this will be a crucial car for the brand. Dramatically styled and with prices starting from £26,495 the 2.5-litre full hybrid system will be available for the first time in the IS range and with CO2 emissions coming in below the crucial 100 g/km mark it should be a huge hit with tax conscious business drivers.
He added: "We are already preparing the ground for this car and we want people to have been talking to us about it for a few months before it gets here in July. The IS will be a vital part of our model range and with this and other models being refreshed and facelifted I think the outlook for us as both a dealer and the brand is excellent.
"We are putting a lot of focus on locally-based businesses in addition to our national sales and we expect a big increase from both when the IS comes in mid-summer.
"In the meantime, I think we can be very pleased that out of nine categories we won two and came second in two more. That is is testament to the skill and commitment to excellence of everyone in our business.''
