STAFFORD Rangers are bidding to sign young striker Mark Magee on loan from Championship club Bristol City.

The teenager scored in an outing for Rangers reserves on Tuesday night and manager Steve Bull is negotiating with him over a temporary move to Marston Road.

"If everything works out, I'll put him in the 16 for tomorrow's game with Fleetwood," said Bull. "He's only a young lad, but he looks a decent player and he wants to get some football."

Magee netted twice in Bristol Academy's 7-1 win over Stoke back in August, but has made only three more appearances for the Ashton Gate outfit.

Rangers, meanwhile, will be looking to follow up their 3-0 win at Gainsborough last week by treating the Marston Road fans to a victory – and some goals. So far they have netted only twice in Blue Square North home games, goals which earned them two wins.

"Hopefully we can turn it around against Fleetwood. If we can do it away, there is no reason why we can't do it here," said Bull.

Defender Andre Francis has recovered from a groin strain and Bull now has a full squad.
