New posts on offer as firm's lending rises
JOBS are being created at a building society.
The Hanley Economic has made two promotions on the back of a rise in business and ahead of an increase in legislation.

And The Hanley is expecting more roles to become available as a result.
Finance director Steve Jones has taken on the additional role of deputy chief executive while former head of risk David Lownds has become head of operations.

The Hanley, which is based at Festival Park and has six branches across the region, has already taken on six new people in the last six months.
Mr Lownds said: "As part of the restructure two new roles are being created and we believe there will be a few more opportunities further down the line.
"We're still firming up requirements but we expect to be in the position to offer two or three new jobs over the summer.
"The roles will be in finance and risk and possibly in partner liaison and marketing."
Mr Lownds added: "We are very heavily regulated as a business and we have reviewed our strategy to make sure it's right for the forthcoming changes in legislation.
"We have also seen some upturn in business over the last six months – mortgage lending is up 32 per cent year on year which we are very happy with.
"We seem to be seeing the first shoots of recovery, and also I think there is an element of people wanting to be with building societies rather than banks."
