Stoke Through Time – An Expression Of A New Generation, was created by young people who visited Stoke-on-Trent's four museums. And the multi-media artwork they produced will be on display between Saturday and April 25.
Teachers, parents and pupils will visit the Hanley museum on Saturday to see the Lord Mayor open the exhibition.
Councillor Hazel Lyth, cabinet member for economic development and culture, said: "Everyone involved, from teachers to students, has put in a lot of hard work to make this display unique."
Pupils from Cheadle High School, Brownhills High School, Blackfriars Special School and Sandon Business and Enterprise College created the work.
There will also be a graffiti workshop at the museum between 11am and 2pm on Saturday.
