New Look Thompson at Staffordshire University
The Thompson Library in the Cadman Building of Staffordshire University (College Road Stoke site) has recently been refurbished and has proved a hit with students across the board.
The new look premises include a modern push button controlled 'Group Pod' for multiple person group study (see image) together with contemporary group-purpose made furniture. There is also a re-designed core book collection point near to the main entrance to cope with the large scale demand for core texts. In addition, journals and support literature (for referencing) are now available on the ground floor of the building.

The student bookshop once located where the core texts are now situated can be found in the same block as the ember Lounge and Student Union, with the Information Centre now being housed on your first right as you enter the Cadman building.
The Thompson Library will be open 24/7 and tours of the library for Staff and Students will be available until September 21st 2012. The tours begin from the Cadman foyer at 12 noon, 1pm and 3.30pm precisely.
