The NHS dentists trying to fill a gap in the market
Sneyd Green Dental Practice, in Hanley Road, already has around 8,000 patients on its books, but has room for another 2,000.
Georgious Michaelos, one of the practice's three NHS dentists, said: "We're very pleased to be able to offer more NHS spaces. At the moment we each see more than 30 patients a day but that could get taken up to 35 a day."
Anyone who wants to register at the practice should call 01782 219711.
UP TO 8,000 more patients will have access to an NHS dentist under plans to open a new practice. Redbridge Associates wants to turn Latham's greengrocers, in The Parade, Silverdale, into a four surgery dental practice. It has lodged a planning application with Newcastle Borough Council and hopes the practice could open by spring. Call 01782 425846 for details.
More than 5,000 people have snapped up NHS slots at a dental practice which opened in Biddulph last September.
The £500,000 practice, on the corner of John Street and Well Street, recruited seven staff and it has been backed by North Staffordshire Primary Care Trust.
