Muzzling cats is not the answer
AS an animal lover and pet owner, I was appalled and horrified to read M Davies's letter ('Muzzle cats to stop birds cull', The Sentinel, June 14) in which he suggests cats should be muzzled or caged.
How cruel to even contemplate such a thought.
Unfortunately, cats are simply obeying their instincts, just as a dog would quickly kill a cat if it had the opportunity.
What about the sparrowhawks that frequent town gardens? Birds have not got a chance against them whatsoever.

Perhaps M Davies can suggest what to do about these too?
All animals have instincts, just like humans, although some humans have instincts of hatred and nastiness bred into them.
Just a thought M Davies, I would be rather amused if you were to be muzzled.
