Muslims must live by our laws and not try to change them
NO MR Heywood (March 12), the law does not have to change, being Muslim does not exclude them from British law, we have in place many civil laws for every person in Britain that wants to bring about a civil lawsuit, and that includes the many Muslims that are born in Britain or the ones that want to come to live here. We all have to live by the law of any country that we live in and it is an insult for the followers of Islam to want their kind of law brought in to Britain. If I as a person wanted to live in Canada, Australia, America, or for that matter in any other country including Islamic countries I would be expected to embrace their culture and their laws. What I would not be expected to do is to try and change any of the laws, and that is exactly what some followers of Islam are trying to do.
Well I am sorry if this hurts their feelings, but we happen to be a Christian country with Christian laws and Christian values, we will not stop them worshipping in the Islamic faith, that is their prerogative.
What we expect is for them to embrace the way that we live and to embrace our Christian laws.
For the ones that have been born in Great Britain the laws that we have, have been in place for many years, many since 1066 and a few even before that.
For the ones that want to come and live in the UK, why do you want to live here and change our way of living and laws? You have come to the UK for a far better life than you had before and remember you had your sharia law and if it was so good in the country that you came from why are you coming to Britain that has no such law?
There are many other religions in Britain: Judaism, Hindu, Sikhism and Buddhism to name but a few and no one from these religions has even thought of changing the British law to their religion's law, they go to the British courts and abide by the British way of law in all matters, so why should the followers of Islam be any different?
We can blame many prominent persons for this mess; many of our MPs instead of nipping this in the bud and making it quite plain, just like in Australia, that if you want to live and work in this country then you embrace our culture and our values or you clear off. They have not spoken one word on the behalf of the Christian majority. But then what can we expect when we put our trust in the wishy washy do-gooders that run our country – the ones that put everyone else first except the ones that actually help the country to be viable.

1. Some of us work shifts! If you're sad enough, you could go back and check how often I'm on here on weekends, not often as I usually work. As my earlier post said, I work 5 days out of 7 - that doesn't just mean Mon-Fri you know!
2. To know how often I'm on, you must be on all the time yourself! You haven't given any info about your own work status, not that you need to, but maybe you don't work at all as you have all this time to be on here?
And 3. No, I couldn't get you a job where I work as I work for the NHS and they practise non-discrimination! we have to treat everyone who comes through the door with care, respect and compassion and I don't feel I could recommend you as someone who would be able to do that judging by your posts on here. We worked out we where hang to many people who were not guilty. Thats a good thing, I would rather keep a person who has done an evel act in prison for life then hang a inersent person.
