FUND-RAISERS will follow in the footsteps of Tony Pulis and Nick Hancock as they climb Kilimanjaro for charity.

The eight-strong group will attempt to go up Africa's highest peak on October in aid of to raise much-needed funds for The Donna Louise Children's Hospice Trust.

It follows the success of the Kili 4 Kids trek, which saw Stoke City manager Tony and comedian Nick take on the challenge in May.

One of the latest group of walkers, bank worker Helen Young, said: "When I heard how desperately they need more funding, I didn't hesitate to volunteer.

"I feel proud and responsible to help them."

The climbers will take six days to complete the trek and will follow the same route as the other party.

The hospice's Katy Burgess-Lowe said: "We are grateful to all the climbers for their commitment in supporting the charity."

The hospice provides respite and end of life care to children in Staffordshire and South Cheshire.

The charity relies on donations from the public to continue running.

It currently only has enough funding to open four days a week and managers hope that, through continued community support and activities such as Kili 4 Kids, they will be able to open their doors to children and families seven days a week.
