Moseley Railway Trust to display locomotives in open days
GREAT DAY LINED UP: Railway enthusiasts will be able to view historic locomotives as they go on display for the first time in 10 years.
The Moseley Railway Trust (MRT) will be holding open days today and tomorrow at its new permanent location at Apedale Heritage Centre, Loomer Road, Chesterton.
Visitors will be able to see more than 50 narrow gauge locomotives, some of which date back more than 100 years.
The MRT was originally founded in Cheadle, Cheshire, in the 1960s. Over the last three years, it has been establishing its new base at Apedale.
MRT publicity officer Simon Lomax said: "This is a big weekend for us. It's the culmination of three years of work on the site at Apedale."
Admission cost £4 for adults, £2 for concessions and free for MRT members. The open days run from 11am to 5pm.
