Chell Heath 'monkey dust' dealer avoids jail sentence
A FATHER caught with more than £1,000 worth of a class B drug has been spared jail.
Police found 69.34 grams of MDPV, known as 'monkey dust', when they searched Nicolas Tivenan's then-Burslem home.

The 30-year-old told officers that everything at the Hamil Road property which was drug-related belonged to him.
Prosecutor Neil Ahuja told Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court that the drugs were found packaged.

Tivenan, of Barber Place, Chell Heath, pleaded guilty to possession of a class B drug with intent to supply on October 6, 2011.
His plea was entered on a basis that he went to a party at his sister's house and was asked if he could get some 'monkey dust'.
He said he would have obtained some for those who wanted it.
He put the same amount of money in the pot as everyone else and added he was not going to profit.
Jason Holt, mitigating, said Tivenan has started to tackle his drug problem.
He is receiving counselling and is on a methadone programme.
Mr Holt added Tivenan now has contact with his children and the access will continue as long as he provides negative drug samples.
Recorder Martin Wasik sentenced Tivenan to a two year community order with two years' supervision and a 24 month medium intensity drug rehabilitation requirement.
The judge told Tivenan: "You ordered the drugs over the internet on behalf of a number of people who asked you to do so.
"The police found it at your address bagged up in separate packages."
Under the Proceeds of Crime Act, Recorder Wasik found Tivenan benefited from his criminality by £85 and made a confiscation order for that amount.
He will serve up to seven days in prison if the money is not paid in 28 days.

“if his name had been Mohammad, we would have been looking at 40 to 50 comments saying jail him, deport him or have him hung. I see no name as been put on this but of reporting, not only do they now know the area they are reporting on, it seem they have have a problem recalling there name.”

“The Sentinel should really check their facts especially when printing it as a headline. The offence was committed from a property on Hamil Road in Burslem and Barber Road is in Chell so this item has nothing to do with Chell Heath.”

“There's a surprise, a drug dealer from Chell Heath. How many comments will this story rate? How many had he been from Normacot, Shelton or Cobridge?”
