RICARDO Fuller was sent off for striking team-mate Andy Griffin as Stoke City's hopes of a first away win in the Premier League went up in smoke with a 2-1 defeat at Upton Park.

Fuller clashed with Griffin as they argued over Carlton Cole's 51st-minute equaliser.

The Stoke striker was red-carded, leaving his ten colleagues to try to hold out in a game they'd had by the scruff of the neck when Abdoulaye Faye headed them into a fifth-minute lead.
