Man taken to hospital after car hits tree
A man has been taken to hospital after his car collided with a tree.
Paramedics were called to Frome Walk in Chell at around 12.45am on this morning and found the Volvo car embedded in a tree.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said the driver, a man in his early 40s from Kidsgrove was initially trapped by his legs in the vehicle.
He said: "The man was disorientated and was complaining of left leg, hip and abdominal injuries. He was immobilised using a neck collar and spinal board before being taken to University Hospital North Staffordshire for further assessment and treatment."

“What a naughty, tree, these trees keep on hitting the cars after closing time, the trees should have their branches taken off them, poor drivers have no chance.
Look at the cost to the NHS,, the drivers insurance should pay £500,000 to the NHS, nothing to the driver, He should have his license taken off him for life.
Going out armed to kill.”
