Man dies after being struck by a train in Stoke-on-Trent
A man has died after being struck by a train.
Paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service were called to a railway track near to Trentham Road in Stoke-on-Trent shortly before 1pm this afternoon.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: "Unfortunately, it quickly became apparent that nothing could be done to save the pedestrian, a man, and he was confirmed dead at the scene."
