Man arrested after two injured in Leek crash

TWO people have been injured after a three car crash in Leek last night.

A third man was trapped in one of the vehicle's and had to be released by emergency crews following the smash at the junction of Southbank Street and Westfields at around 11.25pm.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “There were two people injured from a red car.

"The driver, a woman in her 30s was shaken but also had chest, shoulder and hip pain.

"A man in his 40s who was the front seat passenger had slight back pain.

"Both were taken to University Hospital North Staffordshire."

The trapped man, who was in a black BMW, did not require hospital treatment.

Staffordshire Police have confirmed that a 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
