Bentilee man George Simpson admits to stabbing former fiancée Carol Bailey
A MAN who stabbed his former fiancée with a screwdriver has pleaded guilty to attempting to murder her.
George Simpson, of Beverley Drive, Bentilee, attacked Carol Bailey on May 21 this year.

The incident took place just yards from Abbey Hulton Primary School.
Simpson, aged 58, entered the guilty plea at a hearing at Stafford Crown Court yesterday. The case was adjourned for pre-sentence reports.
