A MAN has appeared before magistrates charged with affray.

Ryan Cartner, aged 25, of Longshaw Avenue, Bradwell, is accused of affray on October 19 at Newcastle. His case will be heard at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court.

The defendant will appear via the video link at North Staffordshire Magistrates' Court for an interim hearing prior to the committal proceedings on December 8.
