MP blasts EDL demo
ROB Flello has called on the Home Secretary to make an urgent statement with regard to the violence that erupted during an English Defence League demonstration.
Stoke-on-Trent South MP Mr Flello asked Speaker John Bercow: "In light of the appalling violence and religious and racial hatred from the so-called English Defence League in Stoke-on-Trent on Saturday, and despite the excellent work of the police in responding to it, have you heard any indication at all from the Home Secretary that he intends to make a statement?"
But Mr Bercow told him there were no plans as yet for Home Secretary Alan Johnson to make a statement.
Staffordshire Police are studying CCTV footage of the weekend's clashes, which saw 17 arrested and six police officers hurt. One member of the public was also injured.

“I have not been present at the EDL protest but I bet the UAF (Unite Against Fascism) was. Every time the BNP, EDL come into contact with the UAF, verbal and then physical violence errupts on both sides. This is not just sometimes, but every time they meet. I am a member of the English Democrats Party, we have nothing to do with these organizations, but I feel bad when these groups get together. They have no interest in proper debate or the democratic process, just confrontation and violence. Both sides will try to say that those who committ the violence aren't part of their respective organizations, but I do not believe this.
Do not let these organizations deflect you from the real threat to Britain in general, and England in particular, which is New Labour. They created devolution to brake up Britain for the purpose of procuring Scottish Independence at the expense of Britain in general, and England in particular. The Conservatives and the Lib-Dems are just as bad. I only wish I could go up against Bill Cash (Conservatives), but that's not possible this time around.”

“Dear Mr flello, all my adult life I voted labour like my father and his father before him we supported trade unions and have always known we are the working class, over the last 15yrs the labour party as ignored us misused usand if we speak out against the unfairness of minority extremist religion changing this countries policies we are called uneducated and racist by labours media machine even though your own think tanks tell you that its your parties neglect of the working class thats caused this backlash, maybe if mps actually came from the places they represent instead of being a middle class outsider when you accuse the tories of being out of touch and elitist we may listen and support you but as usual your party abuses the working class of every colour by not listening and preaching how wrong we are to have our own opinions on the society we live in..its for these reasons the tories will walk the election and you asnd your party will find themselves sitting with alot more independant mps later this yr..I personally will vote independant in council and goverment elections from now on.”

“Well considering that the last 2mayors and the current councillors misspent the councils money, sold off land cheap to certain groups, lied about schools being under pupiled so they could close schools down, sat on stokes regeneration money, gave loans to stoke city football club and recieved little perks, spent money on a city theme tune, closed kids homes&day centres, cut back on welfare spending&services, sold out housing maintanence to kier even after city voted against it,still not stared building the bus station, wasted money on ceramica and regent projects and still not regenerated Hanley apart from all that we have certain religous extremists demonstrating in hanley and shelton on a regular basis and the leader of the nus at staffs as published biggoted material, I'm surprised the city not fallen apart yrs ago the only thing thats kept us together was our good nature and now thats worn out..”

“Mr Flello, where were you when these Muslim extremeists were preaching on our streets?
Where were you when our police were ordered to protect these gatherings?
Oh yes you were allowing it to go on unhindered, HYPOCRITE.
You and your mates are responsible for their actions and the EDL with your appeasement.”
