Lou Macari: Adams can be a major player for Stoke City
I AM not sure why it never worked out for Charlie Adam at Liverpool, but the midfielder must be relishing the opportunity to play regular football again with Stoke City.
Adam, right, did well in Scotland and brilliantly at Blackpool before he made the switch to Merseyside, and it is no disgrace to not be picked week, in week out at one of the division's top clubs.

He made a great impression by all accounts when he came off the bench for his Stoke debut at Wigan and we will wait over the next couple of months to see what impact he can make.
I think it's important to be patient and give him a chance to make his mark.

I don't think we will see any great change in the system which has done Stoke so well for the past few seasons, but Tony Pulis is a manager who plays to his strengths.
I think we will see Adam being allowed to play the way he wants to play. He's a good footballer who has shown he can be a real force at this level.
I wouldn't say his career has gone off track, but everyone wants to be playing regularly and that match practice is how you reach your peak form.
With more games under his belt I hope we will see the best out of him at the Britannia Stadium.

“"He made a great impression by all accounts" - I wish I could make a living out of reporting on incidents that I haven't seen.”

“Dear The Sentinel; it's Adam not Adams (please see title).”
