With regard to the closure of Consall Hall Landscape Gardens, in Wetley Rocks.

My wife and I went around this most beautiful of gardens in October last year and it is such a shame that they are now closed.

I used to think Alton Towers or Trentham Gardens were the best but after seeing how they have gone and seeing what William Podmore has done to his gardens, they are worlds apart.

I hope to see them re-open sooner rather than later as the nature of the Churnet Valley and its people have lost such a jewel.
