STEVE Lewis produced a season's best height of 5.71 metres to finish sixth in the pole vault at the European Indoor Championships in Gothenburg yesterday.

It was the same height the Light Oaks man achieved in coming fourth at the 2009 championship, and was just outside his indoor PB of 5.75m, which was set the same year.

Great Britain finished second in the medal table after winning eight medals, including four golds.

The highlight of the final day was a golden double by Perri Shakes-Drayton.
