Letter attacking Jade Goody made me cringe
OFF THE MARK: With reference to the letter from Mr R Horton in Monday's Sentinel, I feel you are obviously still very angry at the sad loss of your loved ones due to cancer. The Douglas Macmillan Hospice and Ward One at the North Staffs University Hospital have specially trained people to help and it might be worth contacting them. I mean that sincerely, for your comments about Jade Goody were so far off the mark I was cringing while reading your letter. If Jade is making money for her two young children's future, then so what, who wouldn't? I have also had to sit and watch loved ones lose all dignity and see strong people go to nothing. Jade is raising awareness about the horrible disease and if more people donate money to Cancer Research UK and Douglas Macmillan on the strength of it so people in the future can be screened earlier or a miracle drug found, then surely that is a good thing.

“Lets see if this makes you cringe a bit more then, Fact 1, Around two years ago Miss Goody, her mother and Jack Tweed were all in the very same papers that now dout over them, for being racests and biggets. Fact 2, Jack Tweed, not the father of the two sons of Jade Goody, as just come out of prison after serving half his sentance for assult and had to apliy for his cerfew to be lifted so he could spent the wedding night with Jade. Fact 3, Jades mother, the one looking after the boys, is a ex-junkie. Fact 4, Jade as a very helthy bank acount, that will be passed on after her death to her sons, there is no real need to 'top it up' by slaming that wedding and the interviews and the potos and whatever the papers have from the real winner in this one, Max Cliffard.Fact 5, the boys true father is TV prasenter, so lets face it he's got a bob or two as well, Jeff Glasser, who is more then prepered to surport his sons and care for then when the time comes.
I feel for the famley of Jade Goody, I honistly do, but it only the same as what meny other famliys go thought . What we see hear is the underclass getting behind one of there own. A disfuncual famliy beeing backed by a country of disfuncual famliys and others jumping on bourd, just becouse it seems right, when you read these 5 facts, it dont.”
