Legend hopes to crack America
A MUSICIAN and former radio DJ is hoping to crack the American market with his new single.
Lonnie Cooke, otherwise known as Legendary Lonnie, pictured, has released Knock Me Down, Pick Me Up in the U.S. after receiving interest from New York radio stations when they began playing one of his old LPs.

Originally recorded in 1994, the songs were remixed and reissued by Fast Track Records and have been available to buy since May 3.
And although the music is only available as a CD in America, Lonnie is hopeful that his UK fans will catch on to the renewed attention and download the single.

"It was like a breath of fresh air."
The guitarist, who plays with The Lonnie Cooke Band, founded his reputation in the 1970s with his first song, Wine Glass Rock.
For 17 years he was a regular DJ on BBC Radio Stoke, with the popular Sunday Best programme.
Following the success of Knock Me Down, Pick Me Up, Lonnie is now planning to release more of his old recordings.
"I'd like to release Wine Glass Rock," he adds.
