CREWE band Lost Response will be going up against some of the finest unsigned talent in a national competition this month.

The four-piece pop punk band, pictured, will perform at Jabez Clegg in Manchester on Sunday, March 28 in this year's Surface Unsigned Festival.

And they are now looking for support from local music lovers in a text vote.

Since making their debut at Crewe venue The Box in May last year, the band has quickly notched up an impressive CV, sharing the stage with the likes of Exit Calm, Soft Toy Emergency and Future Of The Left.

Lost Response, who are currently working on an acoustic album, will be organising transport from Crewe and Whitchurch for their fans on the Manchester trip. Tickets for the show are £6.

But people can also increase the band's chances by texting 'North 2008' to 64343 at a cost of £1.

If successful they will go into the next round of heats and eventually to the final in London with the possibility of winning a recording and marketing package worth more than £60,000.
