Labour turns its back on needy

I THINK we now have conclusive proof that this Labour council running Stoke-on-Trent (into the ground) is the worst Labour council in the history of the city and of the Labour Party nationally as a whole.

It is the laughing stock of domestic politics everywhere.

They won't accept this and stick to the story that it is David Cameron, pictured below, making them all do it.

It breaks my heart to deliver the truth, but it is this council built on the ruins of a failed elected mayoral system and a politically perverse directive that has filled up this cabinet with those failed supporters of that system.

This current form of local government consists of a leader and his cabinet and that is that. The rest of the council have minor observation roles best associated with dropping the baton and scoring own goals.

To get promotion to the cabinet, they must allow their local youth club to close, their community centre to shut, their local kiddies' park to be flattened and all fully refurbished care homes to evaporate.

The old, the frail and the sick are casually discarded by the wayside as an 'in-between elections' necessity.

The only way to get credibility, respect and praise from the voters is to raise questions and front campaigns to protect these vital services and as we have all seen, the Labour leader and his cabinet encourage everyone in the political sandpit to do just that.

This is the worst council ever because the real truth is yet another 6,400 manufacturing jobs have disappeared from this city and 1,500 new jobs have been created in South Staffordshire. David Cameron appears selective in getting it completely wrong but our council has the exclusive rights for getting it wrong for this city. This council has another couple of years at the outside to weather the storm created by this cabinet. We have all been given the freedom of the city to know nothing whatsoever.

But then you are ours again in 2015 and you will love the NHS once more, you will adore our schools, and you will respect all old people everywhere.

Kodak will resurrect itself into profit at the photo opportunities of old ladies being helped across the road and you will be the soul of the local community.

Christmas trees, fairy lights, you did it. Labour's, nightmare on Glebe Street, will overnight become how Labour saved Christmas.

We have had enough of you but you don't think we have. You are a party that forgot to fix the roof when the sun shone.

Labour has ruined our country, our city, our communities, many careers, our jobs, our businesses and homes making us bankrupt.

The party favoured those with knighthoods before they went bust also, then you bailed them out with our money as they retired to the south of France.

The Labour script called for mass employment but you left no stones unturned creating mass unemployment. You forgot one small thing though: You forgot about us, without a care and as though we didn't matter.

You will wonder why it has gone all so horribly wrong but the answer is very simple.

You do not represent the working classes anymore.

Today's working classes used to consist of the old, the infirm and the sick which you are so very determined to kick.

Tomorrow, we, the able, will be old, infirm and sick and to protect ourselves from more pain, you, our worst council ever, will have to go. It's that simple.

“Gary, we had the opportunity last year to gather all the disgruntled together and oust this council at the elections, but those that went to represent us only gathered enough interest to encourage a quarter of the population to vote and that is the problem. We need representatives representing the electorate and not themselves, and in order to achieve that something needs to happen to galvanise the people into action. Which will hopefully dismiss this thick cloud of apathy hanging over the people of this once, "Great City".
