Labour have ruled too long
ON THE plan to move the Civic Centre from Stoke to Hanley (Sentinel, September 7) we have let Labour reign for too long, and they have destroyed our city.
It is a sprawling wilderness – regenerated by demolition. Our chief and Mr Pervez will have the ivory tower, taller than the last one, of course.

OLD VENUE: Labour wants to move the Civic Centre to hanley.
Why did it not regenerate Hanley the last time?
So what is the difference now?

And don't forget the workers' car park, or will they be bused in from the empty parks of Stoke?
Borrow £40 million; you have the population to pay for it through the council tax.
So be prepared, people of Stoke-on-Trent.
Sit back and watch it rise as your pockets empty.

“Council Tax up again next year, I wonder how much the arrogant 10 will turn down this time from Central Government and heap a bigger debt onto each tax payer.
Well the ones they bother to collect it from - that is the honest ones who pay it - the rest they just write it off when it gets too big!!!”
