Jury sent out in trial of Smallthorne man charged with Bentilee murder
THE jury has been sent out in the case of a Stoke-on-Trent man who is charged with murder.
Lee Shaw, aged 34, of Community Drive, Smallthorne, is on trial at Stafford Crown Court accused of murdering 29-year-old Dalbagh Singh Malhi in Bentilee on May 13 last year.

Shaw admits killing Mr Malhi but claims he acted in self-defence.
The defendant told the jury he did not realise he was holding a knife when he stabbed Mr Malhi.He says was hit from behind by Mr Malhi's friend and he 'put his head down and started swinging back'. He denied knowing he was holding the knife during the fight.
