JACK Beech cracked an unbeaten century to help strengthen Porthill Park's hold on top spot in Section B on a day full of impressive performances.

Beech made 100no as Porthill rattled up 190-6 before Hanford were restricted to 135 in reply.

Second-placed Longton enjoyed another win thanks to a similarly impressive batting performance.

Openers Sam Thompson (114no) and Harry Jones (54no) piled up 185 without loss, then Caverswall were bowled out for 147.

Hem Heath's John Seabridge produced a great all-round effort.

He picked up 7-16 to help dismiss Oulton B for 132, then hit 71no to guide his side home with nine wickets to spare.

Oulton A's total of 199-5 was built on solid contributions throughout the order and was too much for Meakins, who were bowled out for 101 in reply as Ian Whalley grabbed 4-16.

Section A leaders Leek cruised to a comfortable eight-wicket win to maintain their title charge.

Oliver Thomas top scored with 73 as Sandyford reached 177-7, but Dan Ball (62no) and Alex Mellor (53) saw the Moorlands side home.

Alex Palmer cracked 83no as second-placed Ashcombe kept up the chase with victory over Knypersley, but Endon dropped off the pace following their draw against Norton, for whom Alex Graham was in sparkling form. He hit 72 as Norton reached 149-7, then took 5-14 to restrict Endon to 102-8 in reply.

Nick Hubble had a game to remember in Checkley's crushing Section C win.

Hubble smashed 103no as Checkley rattled up 191-4, then grabbed 3-4, to support Josh McVeigh (5-22), as Stone were dismissed for 70.

Leaders Cheadle continued their title effort with a seven-wicket success against Moddershall.

Hamza Siddique grabbed 4-26 as the Spot Acre side were restricted to 122-8, enabling Cheadle to cruise to victory.

Matthew Goodwin hit an unbeaten 68 and Matthew Wheatley 57 as Blythe posted an imposing 172-3 against Oakamoor.

But it was not enough for victory as Aaron Sargeant held the home side together with an unbeaten half-century.

John Hancock (40) and Jack Phillips (39) put Little Stoke on their way to an eight-wicket win at Wootton.

Section D leaders Betley had their lead at the top cut after being held to a draw.

Harry Oliver made 39 as Woore reached 147-6 and Betley were left hanging on at the close, having been reduced to 110-9 by John Woodfield, who finished with 6-14.

Second-placed Bignall End took advantage as they grabbed a comfortable win against Whitmore thanks to Osman Munavar, who grabbed 5-15.

Ryan O'Callaghan was the star of the show for Audley. He took 6-3, but it was not enough to force a victory over Leycett, who reached 51-8 by the close.
