ALUMINIUM smelting firm FE Mottram has closed with the loss of 61 jobs.

The Congleton-based firm which manufactures secondary aluminium products, has temporarily ceased trading.

On Monday, staff at the plant say they arrived for work only to be told that their services were no longer required.
