The vacancies are both full time and part time offering flexible hours on a self-employed basis.
The job involves posting charity bags through doors and then collecting them a few days later.
Managers say the role would suit parents who need to fit their job around childcare, people who are semi-retired, or anyone who wants to earn some extra income.
Applicants can choose their own hours and days to work, but must have access to the internet, as well as space to store the bags they have collected until they can be picked up.
Pay is £93.75 per week for a minimum round of 4,000 homes, delivering 250 bags per day and hitting collection targets.
Collectors will receive authorised business mileage and there are extra incentives for top achievers.
Project manager Mark Fitzgerald said the firm currently employs 300 people across the UK, including 50 in North Staffordshire, of which 40 are based in Stoke-on-Trent.
He said: "The business is continually growing. We're looking to recruit 3,000 people over the next two years.
"What we do is collect items which are reconditioned and processed before being sold on, often to organisations in Eastern Europe or Africa, with charities profiting from a share of the proceeds.
"By making collections direct, LCRS provides a service the charities would normally have to cover with volunteers, and the charity still gets a share of the profit without having to do anything.
"The main message we want to get across, besides the fact we are recruiting, is that we want to raise funds for locally-based community projects.
"It is important we help people who want to raise money for local charities."
Nigel Armitage-Smith, from Stafford, has worked for LCRS since January.
The retired cruise liner baggage handler, said: "I'm enjoying the job. It's great to be outside in the fresh air being pro-active.
"There's a real feel good factor about helping to make a positive contribution to society and raising money for charity.
"It's a job which is suitable for a wide range of people of all ages."
The jobs are being advertised by the Department of Work and Pensions.
Full training is given and support is available to collectors at the headquarters in Willow Row, Longton.
