Jobless mark end of course
A GROUP of long-term unemployed people are celebrating success after taking part in training courses.
The 20 residents from Stoke-on-Trent are due to receive their NCFE employability skills qualifications at a ceremony later today.
Stoke-on-Trent South MP Rob Flello has been invited to present the certificates.
They had all been struggling to find work when they were referred on to the Government's Work Programme, where the residents were given specialist training.

Sencia, the firm contracted to deliver the sessions, has now seen some of the jobseekers land work in catering, retail, business administration and the pottery industry.
Kerry Clayton, manager of sencia's Hanley centre, said: "We try to tailor our service to each person to ensure what we're doing is right for them."
