Israr Ellahi inquest to take place
A LONG-AWAITED inquest was due to start today into the death of a father-of-three who suffered a fractured skull in a street attack.
Israr Ellahi, aged 30, of Stanley Street, Tunstall, died in hospital 13 days after being attacked in nearby Roundwell Street in June 2010.

Six men were subsequently sentenced to a total of 16-and-a-half years in prison for their part in the street disturbance.
The inquest – which is expected to last eight days – is being held at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court.
