PRADEEP Jayaprakashdaran is returning to play for Oulton this season after helping them win promotion from Division Two last year.

The 26-year-old Sri Lankan seamer took 49 wickets in Oulton's successful championship-winning campaign and scored an impressive 768 runs.

Harish Patel continues as first-team captain.

ENGLAND Women's captain Charlotte Edwards will be speaking at Knypersley on Friday, March 26.

Staffordshire's Danielle Wyatt will also be in attendance, fresh from winning her first England cap on the recent tour of India.

ALSAGER members are cycling more than 150 miles to visit all 48 clubs in the North Staffs and South Cheshire League between Thursday, March 25 and Saturday, March 27 to raise funds for the development of the club and Sport Relief. All clubs are being asked to sponsor the event.

BLYTHE'S head of cricket Mark Hammond is walking the 87-mile Hadrian's Wall in April to raise money for the new net facilities at the club and Cancer Research.

THE NSSCL Development XI have announced three fixtures for the new season.

They will take on a strong Lancashire Academy side at a venue to be confirmed on Tuesday, April 27.

On Tuesday, July 1 Derbyshire Academy will provide the opposition at Hem Heath, followed by Worcestershire at Stone on Sunday, July 11.

STAFFORD and Milford Hall are two members of the newly-formed Mid Staffs Sunday Twenty20 League.

Aldridge, Brewood Cannock and Cannock and Rugeley are the others, with matches being played in July and August.

KIDSGROVE are holding a beer festival at their Clough Hall Road ground from Friday, March 19 to Sunday March 21.

BATSMAN Richard Holloway headed the list of award winners at Audley's annual presentation evening.

Holloway received the President's Trophy, in addition to the first-team batting award and recognition for his two centuries scored during the season.

Craig Barker won the first-team bowling award, with Richard Beckett and Gary Latham presented with the second-team batting and bowling trophies respectively.

BLYTHE'S Mick Grimley has been named as Coach of the Year at the Cheadle and District Sports Council's annual awards evening.
