THE Staffordshire Moorland Hunt's decision to move its annual ball from Buxton back to the Staffordshire Moorlands after almost a decade proved to be a great success.

It was held at the Three Horseshoes Inn at Blackshaw Moor with revellers packing this popular local venue.

The hunt ball is always one of the highlights on the social calendar and I think I speak for everyone when I say that it certainly won't be the last time the hunt ball is held at Blackshaw Moor.

To have a good roast beef English dinner served with British beef produced locally made me feel proud when everyone was complimenting the chef. What's more, when carriages were called at 1am, there wasn't a handful of people who had jumped ship and gone home early.
