Hundreds to attend hunt
A TRADITIONAL Boxing Day hunt was due to take place today.
Hundreds of people were expected at the North Staffordshire Hunt at Woore.
Huntsmen were expected to meet outside The Swan Hotel, at 10am before the scented trail hunt starts at 11am.
The meet will be the seventh annual gathering since the ban on fox hunting in February 2005.
Ann Huntley, who helps organise the event, said: "We normally have a very good turn out at the event weather permitting and I hope that everything is able to go ahead as planned."
Last year hounds had to be paraded through the village after icy conditions meant the hunt could not go ahead.
