THE remodelling of a terraced home in Hanley to top environmental standards is to be showcased at a national conference.

The Sanctuary Housing project saw extensive work being carried out at the property on St Luke's Street as part of research into providing energy efficient housing.

It will be featured at a conference held at Longton's £11.4 million national Centre of Refurbishment Excellence (CoRE) on May 17.

The event will also feature a report commissioned by CoRE called Fabric First and Refurbishment Excellence: Up-skilling to Deliver the Green Deal and Beyond.
