Hospital ward is 'wonderful'
STAFF and patients have heaped praise on their new hospital ward.
They made their comments during an inspection of ward 226 which cares for elderly patients with broken hips at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire.
Staff told the area's NHS watchdogs – the Local Involvement Networks (LINks) – that the 26-bed ward was clean and spacious with a wide central corridor.
In its report, a LINk official said: "One relative commented that the ward had been very helpful when she phoned up. A patient stated the care was fabulous and everybody had been helpful and kind."
