Hospital chief Julia Bridgewater under scrutiny
HOSPITAL chief executive Julia Bridgewater is to be quizzed about accident unit waits, bed-blocking and design problems at the new superhospital at a public meeting tonight.
Mrs Bridgewater is to appear before a county council committee to discuss the performance of the University Hospital of North Staffordshire.

She will give a 20-minute presentation before taking questions from councillors, health campaigners and patients.
Other issues to be raised include deaths after surgery and the reopening of 80 beds to cope with A&E queues at a cost of £50,000 a day.
