A CHARITY is calling on supporters to help raise funds by holding tea parties for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.

The Katharine House Hospice, in Stafford, has teamed up with the Original Cupcake Company, based in the town, to organise the Big Cuppa fund-raiser.

Amy Johnson, from the charity, said: "Whether it is tea and cakes with your weekly church group or a coffee break at work, your Big Cuppa will make a big difference to the hospice.

"Supporters can even tie their event in with the Queen's Jubilee and use it as an excuse to have a get together – all that we ask is that supporters make a donation to the hospice."
