Horsemeat scandal sees Staffordshire County Council remove beef from school meals as a precaution
BEEF has been removed from Staffordshire County Council's school meals amid the Europe-wide horsemeat scandal.
The authority, which provides meals to 87 per cent of its schools, has described the move as 'precautionary' and has insisted there is no suggestion of contamination.

It comes after several supermarket products were also withdrawn in recent weeks following the discovery of horsemeat in processed foods.
