Honour for high-flyers
STOKE City manager Tony Pulis, pictured, is to receive an honorary doctorate.
World Cup winner Gordon Banks will also be singled out for Staffordshire University's highest honour during a week of graduation ceremonies at the Trentham Estate from July 6.
Also becoming honorary doctors of the university are Lord Wedgwood of Barlaston and Jonathan Wilkes.
University vice-chancellor Professor Christine King said: "These are people who stand out in their respective fields."
