Honesty pays for residents
RESIDENTS have helped raise £350 for charity following a street party.
Families living in Walley's Drive, Basford, donated money for the Air Ambulance fund during the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Around 150 people attended the bash and were asked to contribute to an honesty bucket after enjoying the various refreshments.
Ann Haycock, who has lived in their neighbourhood for 34 years, said: "It's hard to think that the Air Ambulance isn't supported by funding and it relies on a lot of donations. Everyone was very generous."
