Homeowners urged to put clinic opposition in writing
RESIDENTS opposing plans to create a clinic for drug addicts on their doorstep have little over a week left to make their views known.
Homeowners have already started a petition against plans to open the centre in Tunstall and have now launched a letter-writing campaign as well.

PLANS: The house in Tunstall.
Resident Lesley Adams visited homes and businesses in the Roundwell Street area yesterday to urge people to express their views to Stoke-on-Trent City Council.
And she said it would have a greater impact if neighbours wrote to the authority individually.
The Sentinel reported earlier this month how charity Crime Reduction Initiative (CRI) had submitted plans to open a drug and alcohol addiction clinic in an empty building on the corner of Roundwell Street and Forster Street.
Residents immediately expressed fears over safety and the impact the centre would have on businesses, as well as parking issues and access concerns.
And photographer Lesley, whose home and business is in Roundwell Street, has now urged people to make their views known before consultation ends next Friday. Three letters were handed to a ward councillor yesterday.
For help writing a letter, or to hand it over for delivery to the council, call Lesley on 01782 823373.
To express a view, write to Development Management, Stoke-on-Trent City Council, PO Box 630, Civic Centre, Glebe Street, Stoke, ST4 1RF, quoting application number 50522/FUL.
