STOKE City have been quick to rule out any suggestion of poaching during recent talks with Crewe youngsters Ben Marshall and Matthew Lund.

The two teenagers refused professional contracts at Crewe and have since contacted Stoke to seek a move to the Britannia Stadium.

And the Potters have moved to head off any possible allegations of anything underhand.

Stoke's academy director Steve Holland, who worked with the pair at Crewe, insists there is no question of trying to go behind his old club's back.
