HIGH DRAMA: A former tiger tamer is helping actors at the New Vic theatre hit the heights as they rehearse for The Wicked Lady.

Aerial specialist and former circus performer Vicki Amedume is working with the theatre on scenes for the play, which comes to the stage next month.

It has been specially written for the New Vic by Bryony Lavery.

The Wicked Lady is based on the original 1940s novel about an aristocrat turned highwaywoman who, to escape boredom, turns to a life of crime.

Tickets for The Wicked Lady cost between £8.50 and £17.50 and are available from the New Vic box office on 01782 717962.

Performer Rosin Gallagher, left and right, is put through her paces with fellow performer Marcello Walton. Inset: Miss Amedume leads the rehearsal.
